Vice TV: Valentines Day Edition

No date required.

Japan Finds Heart-Shaped Stuff in Everything: As Valentines Day draws closer a special magic spell seems to envelop the land; a magic that turns everyday objects into hearts. I haven't seen it happen personally, but according the this Japanese news program it is happening all around us.

Deathgelion: Nothing says Valentines Day like Death Note. Or maybe I got this confused with Death Day? Whatever, death and love are similar, so it should work both ways.  Anyways, here is an amazing mashup between Death Note and Evangelion, because we all would love to see Light play the role of Shinji any day of the week.

Want to Make a Lego Gundam? Watch This: Check out how this one particular otaku created a V2 Gundam with Legos and spiral power alone. He even gave it the ability to transform, which is amazing considering its just made with legos.

Weekly Dose of Cute: Baby polar bears are probably the definition of cute, though only the baby ones. When they grow up they become the scourge of man and will eat you without second thought. So hug then while they're young, that's if you ever see one.

Chocolate Food on V Day is Better than Sex: Well, this is not really what they are trying to say here, but this guy tasting a hamburger and ramen enhanced with the taste of chocolate seems to think this way. But I don't know why we have to wait for Valentines Day to have savory chocolate food, I want it all year long baby!

Touhou X K-On!: Don't say "lazy", because this video looked like it took a lot of time to create. Enjoy the characters from the Touhou game franchise in K-On!'s first ending "Don't Say 'Lazy'".

Final Fantasy V X Record of Lodoss War: Finally we have an opening mashup that mixes two things that are super alike together; a nice break from usual mashup of things that are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.  Now make it into an anime Japan!

If You Have Roommates, Play This Song as Loud as You Can: This has to be the most annoying, and the most catchiest song to hit Japanese televisions since Lucky Star aired. Not to mention you will have the urge to eat as much pudding as your stomach can handle.

@GodLen: THERE ARE HEARTS EVERYWHERE!

Also, that Giga Pudding thing is scary. It's freakin' HUGE!

That Lego Victory 2 Gundam is absolutely breathtaking... it's fully articulated AND comes from 3 separate parts?!

The Touhou don't say lazy is cool too, especially with the addition of Cirno. :D

Also, I think from now on, if I ever wanted to summarize the random craziness of Japanese culture in one short video, I'd show them that Giga Pudding commercial.

The Lego Gundam probably wasn't made with spiral power, I think he was a very powerful Newtype.

I NEED A GIGA PUDDING!!! NOW!!!  GI-GA-PU-RIN!!!

I watched some of the related vids, and there are a bunch that feature Giga Purin FAIL!!!

Hilarious.

The Giga Pudding advertisment reminds me of the Ronarudo meme.

Dig Deeper into Death Note

A shounen franchise of enormous popularity, Death Note started with Tsugumi Ohba's manga, illustrated by the popular artist Takeshi Obata. The series is essentially an extended police chase thriller, but with added twists, including the existence of Shinigami (death gods) who can control the death of humans.
