Random Video: I always wonder where they find these absolutely retarded people...
Because I posted the orginal thread on Anime Vice a couple of days ago.
Anyone wanting more however is out of luck. (well besides the rest of that special) Shortly after the special aired Rick Mercer abandoned the segment due to it being in poor taste to continue because of the events of September 11th. He also had moved on from 22 Minutes to focus on another show called Made in Canada, a sitcom that satirized film and television production, (The Office is kind of similar to it besides the mocumentary part) which ended shortly thereafter (it lasted from 1998 to 2003) and in 2004 came to his current show The Mercer Report.
Sorry for going on so long but Rick Mercer is a very important figure of Canadian comedy on television and seeing as Canadian humor is a fundamental aspect of Canadian culture, (laughing keeps us warm) among other things. For instance apologizing in a passive agressive tone, while providing a veiled criticism as Colin Mochrie will explain.
As you may tell we have a thing for satire.
Anyway that's enough off-topic grandstanding for tonight. Now it's back to self-deprecation.

Who doesn't. People without a heart that's who.
Rick Mercer showed you, around political rallies. ;) Also there was one other person besides the child to call Rick Mercer on his lies, after laughing at him she proceeded to answer.
Anyway, i loved that show "Talking to Americans", it was hilarious. Makes me sad that he didn't make any more. Funny though, i never liked him in anything but that special. Proably because his punch line was always like " because he was (insert never heard of before low ranking Canadian politician here)!". They always went over my head ^_^
Ya I've known he is gay for quite some time. I remember reading something about him and a Gerald guy in a news paper like 5 years ago or so.

Ottawa is the national capital of Canada, Toronto is the capital of the province of Ontario, you know fyi.
Fixed the spelling error in Ottawa and corrected the grammar in the last bit. Also added proper capitalization.

But no thanks to N15PCA for the fineing the Manga Mad, the Documentary.
Because I'm Canadian, I can't watch Hulu videos.
I didn't know Rick Mercer was gay. I actually shook hands with him at the gay pride parade in Toronto. I thought he was just there as as a celebrity support kinda thing.
Funny story: I then met him a second time when he was shooting a segment from his show in my town, Sudbury, Ontario with Member of Parliament, Bob Rae. Their car had broken down and we(city workers) gave him a ride. I never actually spoke with him, since the van was crowded and there was no way I would've been able to get a word in edge-wise. Here's the video of him in Sudbury:
