Vice Interrogation: Rinne

Haven't decided whether to read Rinne yet? Watch this and make up your mind.

So, considering that it's free and will take up all of five minutes of your time, I can't imagine why anyone would hesitate to read Rinne over on TheRumicWorld.com. Simultaneous release with japan, for free (remember that the Japanese readers have to buy the manga magazine to ge it)? Yes please!

But if you haven't gone yet, here's a little PSA on why you should. (Well, not really, it's more of a review. Leave me to my segues. I have nothing else in my sad life!)

Those of you who HAVE read it...dish! What do you think? Will you keep reading?

I felt like the chapter had many other comparisons that are not from her work also.
For example, the main gal reminded me of Watanuki a bit. She doesn't want to see spirits anymore hoping that she'd outgrow it but she is plagued by them still. She ends up meeting that shinigami dude at school and still retains her memories being in that wheel of reincarnation. Throughout the series, her character will probably grow similarly to Watanuki.

I see the shinigami dude to be like Ichigo (that wasn't really hard to see). He guides souls to that wheel so that they'd get reincarnated (like how shinigami in Bleach lead souls to Soul Society). He also says he's "sort of" a shinigami; Ichigo gets his powers from Rukia in the beginning of Bleach. They both have weird colored hair.

Well those are just loose comparisons. Overall, the chapter was decent and I'll continue reading it for at least two volume's worth of chapters before I decide to really continue it or to stop entirely.

Dig Deeper into Rin-Ne

A young woman who can see ghosts befriends a "sort-of" shinigami who is also her classmate in this new manga by Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha creator Rumiko Takahashi.
