Utena Themed Wedding Makes me sooooo Happy

Tonight they'll go to the end of the world

This just made my day. If I was brave enough to have a wedding that was about my lifestyle, and less about performing for family, I would totally do an Utena themed wedding. Unfortunately, I'm a dude, so a female-female marriage will sadly just not be in the cards. That said, Anli and Laura are Australia's newest nerdiest couple. With a Utena themed wedding, the kids had a Companion cube cake, and delivered their rings in Nintendo DS's instead of on pillows.

A dude could have an Utena themed wedding too. I mean, showing up to the ceremony sprawled shirtless on the hood of a car isn't exactly traditional but it would be memorable.

I think everyone is flipping out over this wedding. I decided to use the occasion to finally decide that Absolute Destiny Apocalypse will be played at my wedding at some point in time.

@gia: I'm all about the brides! Both of them are super gorgeous! And those dresses are too! They wrote on OffBeatBride that they made a lot of the stuff themselves. Anli, the bride with black hair made her dress by hand!

Hahaha I'm so so sorry. As I wrote it I was like "Lan is going to get a huge kick out of this." No, I don't follow OffBeatBride, I caught it off of Kotaku, though their write up which focused on "yeah, lesbians!" and lacked any pictures of the actual brides was a little sad.
