Kou Yaginuma's manga Twin Spica,
which was also adapted into an anime back in is
being developed into a TV drama. The manga revolves around a girl
named Asumi, whose mother falls into a coma and eventually dies as
the result of a manned rocket crash-landing in their small town.
Asumi is then visited by the ghost of the astronaut who was piloting
the rocket and begins to dream of becoming an astronaut herself.
drama is due to start this June and will star Minami Sakuraba, a
16-year-old actress who will also be voicing a role in The
Girl Who Leapt Through Time
director Mamoru Hosoda's upcoming Summer Wars
anime movie with Madhouse.
It sounds kinda cute. I don't follow a lot of Jdramas, but I'd look into this one. 'Course, I never watched the anime-- how about you guys?
