...Right?
But either I'm just in a negative mindset or something is “off” with this Kagami Hiiragi from Lucky Star, in her PE uniform. The face seems a little off-- the only reason her eye looks closed is that it's drawn as such but you can't see it in the face shape, it could just as easily have been painted open. The hands and arms look a little too pudgy. Her slightly-open mouth looks a little odd...all of these little nitpicky things that I might have forgiven on their own add up to kind of a big mess of “meh.”
And here's the kicker-- the pricetag is ¥12,800, or $133 USD. Seriously!? If this was a $20 figure I might be able to justify how odd it looks, but $133?!
Is that just me? What do you think of this Kagami? They got the hair down good, I'll give them that!

And as for the price, look closely. If I'm not mistaken that's real cloth (granted that doesn't totally excuse the price tag, but it makes it a little more reasonable considering that's about how much the doll figures of the same size cost)
That said, Heero: I'm guessing it's probably cheaper to put cloth clothes on a figure than it is to hire a sculptor who's good with clothes. Making clothing look good in PVC or any plastic is *hard*.
And I think I see what you mean now (in response to your other comment), the cheek does look a bit weird, though hands in animation and figures never bothered me much unless they were absolutely horribly off.
