The day the music died? Who cares! Check out these sweet figures.
I love pirates. Seriously; if it's got a skull and crossbones, I'll buy it. I always participate in Talk like a Pirate Day. I have a captain's hat with feathers, red and black striped stockings, the works. And of course, you already know I love Haruhi. So...a pirate Haruhi? YES PLEASE! Unfortunately for me, these three figures-- pirate!Haruhi, witch!maid!Mikuru, and, uh...what is that, Strike Witches!Yuki? --are being offered bundled with the Suzumiya Haruhi no Heiretsu (The Parallel of Haruhi Suzumiya) Wii game limited edition (which is $175 on Play-Asia, and I don't even HAVE a Wii, ouch!).
Note that although Heiretsu is a Wii game, it's not the same as Gekidou, the unpopular Haruhi dancing game for Wii...Heiretsu is more of a visual novel, from the look of things. That said, Sega and Kadokawa are planning on a new campaign where people who buy both Wii games can enter a drawing to get tickets for a special live event. The DS game will be added in at some point, too. I wonder if that will help Gekidou's sales?
