Combining my love of hard 2d platformers and mild RPG elements (cough cough, Castlevania), Claymore: Gingan no Majo looks like more than enough reason to dust off my DS. Though little is obvious other than that you are 2d killing machine, some footage seems to stress the bottom screen as a touch/yoki distribution. Try and imagine how fun that could be, because we won't be seeing this game anytime soon.

I'm just kidding. Games like this are usually the least reliant on language, so importing is a possibility. Though, here's hoping that enough of Claymore's enjoyable story is woven into the game.

Note:  babelfish translates "Gingan no Majo" as "Gingan no Majo."

"games like this"... what's Castlevania without a plot? Just a great action game! xD

Tried it .....
1  the trailer really takes everything out of the DS doesn`t it ^^
2 The gameplay is quite good a bit better then Order Of Ecclesia even though Clare`s sword style seems a bit rusty (i could take out the first wolf but the second ran through the blade!).
3 and the graphics are a bit of a downer compared to Castlevania.

@Kelleth: Yeah, that trailer seemed like it was pushing it.

How does it compare to, say, Dawn of Sorrow? Order of Ecclesia did bosses right, but the rest felt a little... eh

Dawn of Sorrow o i hated that game sorry i deleted that form my mind a loooong time ago. So lets take my favourite out Circle of the moon for the GBA (which has the best gameplay ever IMHO) if you compare Claymore to that it still holds up nicely in both gameplay and graphics, but i cant really say that much about the rest of claymore right now cuz i only played for 6 minutes before my battery went down lol.

And yes it think the Ecclesia monsters are really boring but mostly annoying (I HATE THOSE F@$#ing FLYING DEMON HEADS!!!!) but the (mid)bosses are definitly worth the money they all have these not so easy to try out kinda techniques to them which i love to try out. (i still find the crab the hardest to beat lol). And also i might add i hate the damn back flip its worthless i never used it in the game not even once did it came handy!.

@Kelleth: Portrait of Ruin was my favorite. Yeah, and the crab was my favorite boss in Order.

So the game is basically like Castlevania just with weak graphics.
