Toriyama is Back With Jiya!

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will be returning back to his manga roots along with Masakazu Katsura (DNA2, and Video Girl Ai) in Weekly Young Jump magazine. They will be creating a new manga mini-series named Jiya, which is going to be a “super science-fiction action” story with an “alien of justice”, which to me sounds like Kamen Rider: Star Trek. This mini-series will start in the next issue of Young Jump on the 10th of December. I’m super pleased that Toriyama is coming back to do some manga, but would love it even more if he would just sit down and make a full blown series again. It wouldn’t be asking too much for another Dragon Ball, would it?

Now that i look back i think that Jiya looks more like Spectreman then Ultraman (RIP Tetsuo Narikawa)

If he actually did do another Dragon Ball, will the new series take place after the GT series?

Most likely he would make an entirely new Dragonball series and forget the GT series ever happened. buuuut i think he had enough of the Dragonball scene, he knows that he shouldn't let his career be let by just one franchise that`s why he`s starting a new one with Jiya.
