Oh snap, it's G-Man! This was a great surprise. It would be cool to see you drop by from time to time.

I really should go back and check some of the classics out some time. There's always so much new content to check out that I guess I just haven't thought about digging that far into the past. Of the three mentioned in the video I think Lupin III is the most appealing to me, sounds fun.

Captain Harlock gets my vote. Good video, although things took an odd turn around the 0:50 mark

Best pre-80s show would be Mazinger Z for me.  Then again, I got mecha bias all up in this shit.

@Turambar: I loved that too. But when I was a kid, it only showed on a channel in Spanish. I could follow most of it. Some was a bit too fast.

I wish I could say I was surprised by this reveal, but I sort of suspected this may happen after I listened to the Comic Vine podcast last week. Still happy about it. Hope you all were able to film a few of these.

LUPIN III is a great series, but I can't get over how much I enjoyed the vibe of THE WOMAN CALLED FUJIKO MINE.

As you were introduced, I started playing ACDC'S "Back in Black". In fact, if you start the video then the song. The lyrics start up just as you're revealed.

I wonder what song would be fitting if they could get Sara or Mat??

I love me some 'Big Bang Punch' but Lupin III gets my preference :)

Big Bang Punch was a homage to Giant Robo in the Mazinger Z remake.  Breast Fire was as good as the 80's Mazinger Z got.

I could never get into old Lupin when it used to come on tv. Was it similar in tone to the recent tv series? I remember it being silly in a cartoony way while the new one felt more like Pulp Fiction.

    Welcome back, ! XD

    Dig Deeper into Lupin III

Created in 1967 by mangaka Monkey Punch, the wildly successful Lupin III features the "gentleman thief" Arsène Lupin III. Lupin III is the grandson of Arsène Lupin, the fictional lead character of Maurice Leblanc's French novel series, published in the early 20th century.
