Good to see the results finally come out. I would've voted for Gintama Season 5 but there were lots of good shows this year and it felt kind of like cheating to vote for it because of the hundreds of eps that series has come out with before.

In any given anime season I would be hard pressed to find 2 good anime before trying for 20.
I'm sad to see Ano Natsu De Matteru wasn't on this list, but at least my second choice, Kokoro Connect was on here.

Ha! Mysterious Girlfriend X made it into the top 20!
Three of my picks made it in, so I'm pretty happy with that. I'm not too surprised The Familiar of Zero F didn't make it, both because it aired way earlier in the year and because it's a sequel going up against so many good new shows.
Still, pretty bummed out that my top pick, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, didn't make it. That show is fantastic. It has a great balance of comedy and romantic drama without one element ruining the other.
Kind of surprised Binbogami ga! wasn't higher up on the list, that was definitely a popular show around here. Also surprised Magi didn't make the cut, kind of wish I'd given it a vote, it was really tough to pick five shows.

You're breaking my heart. The only reason I'm hopeful of JJBA getting a US release is that we got the HD rerelease of the Capcom fighter a few months back. Warner Brothers Japan has their hand in the production, so maybe they can work something out. The Japanese blurays supposedly will have english subs, but there's gonna be 9 volumes, and the prices are upwards of 100 bucks a volume, before you even factor in importing :(

@DocHaus: Tomokazu Sugita's voice can only carry a show so far. Also I suspect Naruto is up there because of people that only had 4 true picks, and needed something familiar for a fifth.
hey man just because the Fate/ franchise started out as an eroge doesn't automatically mean everything related to it is bad. Actually the worst parts of Fate/Stay Night VN were the porn parts and the story parts were pretty good. Also Fate/Zero is awesome, not surprised to see it at number 1
I doubt we'll see Jo Jo get licensed over here just because it uses Roundabout by Yes as an ED theme, meaning it would cost a lot of money

GIN TAMA!!! NOT JIN TAMA... AND IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS... although the newest season is pissing me off because of the directors cut re-runs ramping up to the movie.
JoJo in second is very nice, surprised with Bodacious in the top 10 and bimbogami in the top 20, i didn't even considered them top material...
On the other hand daily lives of highschool boys and Space Bros should have been higher, some of the most surprising ans awesome series of the last years.
Surprised Naruto made it on the list, and especially surprised it made it so far up.

As for the top 20, it's a pretty solid line-up of stuff that's well regarded by people overall. Shame that Chihayafuru couldn't quite make it to the top 10 though... especially with frickin Naruto Shippuden being able to.
Your plethora of random impersonations and goofy references reminds me so much of me and my friends back in elementary school and (time skip of the year) college. My roommate and I worked at the same place on pretty much the same shifts and we'd always be doing something stupid. I remember after the scene with the two souls in one armor from the first Fullmetal Alchemist, we started referring to each other as older brother and little brother. It got a lot of odd looks at first and we never explained it to anyone, but eventually other people started saying it too.
Anyways, off-topic, but yeah. Good stuff.

edit: I'm upset about SAO and Bodacious Space Pirates... SAO did next to nothing original, and was predictable event after predictable event. Wasn't Bodacious Space Pirates basically an oppai anime?
Arrggg I knew I should have used my 5th spot for Tsuritama... It wouldn't have counted for much, but Tsuritama deserves recognition. Tsuritama made me care about fishing and the art was refreshing!
