Third Evangelion Film Titled

I (don’t) understand.

Now that Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance has finally hit theaters in Japan, it’s time to move onto better (sexier) things, like the third film. This movie will be named "Evangelion Shin Gekijoban: Q Quickening", and as you probably already noticed, we (only) get its Japanese name at this point.

For those of you still behind the times and wondering about the second film, Otaku2 has posted a movie review that includes a lot of (juicy) spoilers (seriously, there are a ton of them.) If spoilers are (not) your thing, then just be like me and hold off until 2011, or sometime around that point, when we will be able to see this film in America. However, we won’t get the cool limited-edition combo set of popcorn in a NERV bag with carmel flavoring, and an Asuka figure; no, we just get stupid normal popcorn with a picture of Shrek 8 on the bag or something.

I got tired of waiting and read it anyway despite spoilers... and now I'm pissed... that's all I'm going to say.

For shame heero, I thought you were better than that!

Question: I'm hearing that the third and fourth Rebuild of Eva movies will both be released at once as a double feature when they are completed. Is this true?
GodLen staff on June 28, 2009 at 11:45 a.m.
@Dream: I haven't heard anything about that. Plus, seeing as how Evagelion is a cash cow, i would think they would milk it as long as they can by having two movies at different times.

What happened to the naming convention. No "You can (Not) Quickening"? :)

I'd prefer a NERV bag with chocolate flavoring; brings new meaning to the phrase "bagged lunch".

Well I guess I have to wait till the DVD comes out so I can import it...it's too damn long >_<

@GodLen: My source came from the Wikipedia article for Rebuild of Eva. Here's the article.

@GodLen: Evangelion's been pretty stale for me for quite a time now, and the whole Unit 05 designs on top of that has just made me care less and less... it's just getting ridiculous. All it is is a giant cash cow to sell another 50 Asuka and Rei (and now that new girl) figures.

@HeeroYuy: And it'll work. oh how it'll work.

Not reading spoilers. Not reading spoilers.
*fidgets to wait and see it*

I won't read spoilers but I can tell you I am highly looking forward to this movie's DVD release! My excitement is off the charts after reading this (doesn't really have much, if any spoilers).
