The Public Fought the Yakuza, And the Public Won

One group of residence in Tokyo’s Akasaka district grew sick and tired of the growing mob war ranging around them when a new rival yakuza group moved into their neighborhood. So, they put their minds and hearts together and pressed charges against these gangsters; and won! The reason for this change of attitude, is that violence between these two gangs have spiked over the last couple of years. It’s one thing if they are just hanging around bars and riding motorcycles, but once bullets start flying people get pissed.

Of course the Police are in the yakuza’s pants as well, so seeing this court battle win is pretty impressive. However, it won’t stop here. They might be out of Akasaka’s hair, but now they are someone else's problem. Either way It’s nice to see the good guys win, no matter how small it is.
