Mamoru Miyano
- Seiyuu Mamoru Miyano, best known for Death Note's Light, Ouran Host Club's Tamaki, Gundam 00's Setsuna, et al, has announced today that he has recently gotten married and will actually soon be a daddy. The suddenness of it all leads my American mind instantly to the possibility that it was a shotgun wedding, but hey, who am I to guess? (Via RandomC.)
- Right Stuf has updated the Maria-sama ga Miteru official website, which now features trailers for the season 2 box set (coming out on December 9th) and new character profiles.
- Have you ever used the website eVite? FUNimation sent out one such eVite today to announce that they've partnered with the site to offer a few anime-themed invitation layouts. Clever! The layouts include Crayon Shin-chan, of course, plus Fullmetal Alchemist and Robotech. Perfect for your holiday geek gathering, perhaps?
- This one's for adults in a home environment only: Sankaku Complex has a neat piece comparing the same basic scene done up as a shoujo romance manga and a men's hentai manga. The ensuing conversation in the comments is as interesting as the comparison.
- From the pages of 4chan comes a new form of horror: a live-action Hollywood Death Note film featuring Disney stars, among others. Don't worry, it's not really happening. But 4chan's thought up their "dream team" anyway-- Drake Bell as Matsuda, Condoleezza Rice as Rem, Gary Oldman as Soichirou Yagami, Miley Cyrus as Misa, Joe Jonas as L, and of course...Zac Efron as Light. Oh, repercussions, you show your face at last...
