And with a new year, it's about time I get back on track with doing these daily round-ups, am I right?
Music:
- If you've been a fan of Miku Hatsune and/or Rin and Len Kagamine, the oh-so-synthetic voices of singing generation tool Vocaloid2, prepare for a new candidate for your affections! The new character's name and design haven't been released yet, but Moetron notes that singer/seiyuu Yuu Asakawa (Fate/Stay Night's Rider, Azumanga Daioh's Sakaki) will be voicing the new character.
Cons:
- ICv2 has an interview with Lance Festerman, the brilliant VP of Reed Exhibitions regarding the upcoming New York Comic Con-- at which I will be in attendance.
In Japan:
- A couple of interesting items from ANN-- apparently 80% of all seiyuu in Japan take additional part-time jobs to supplement their income, and a new Totoro statue has appeared...made of pine cones.
Misc:
- Crunchyroll continues to expand its list of content, this time adding the Japanese car entertainment series Best MOTORing International.

That seiyuu statistic does not surprise me. It doesn't seem like you can make super banks on shows unless you are super popular. It's like that here too sadly.
