In an event that actually happened in Thailand, Gundam fans unveiled a 20 foot tall bust of the original Gundam model. Supposedly 1:1, this seems to be the first time people out of the motherland have approached the metal mecca that is Gundam statues. Now, its off putting to note that specifically fans made the statue, but its true. No outside contracting, this figure was made by Gundam lovers.

Of course, its no surprised that yesterday's unveiling coincides with Gundam Expo Thailand, or that this is the 30th anniversary year of Gundam's original broadcast. Either way, good job Thailand. And don't worry, when we get pictures, you'll get pictures.

I think it was a fusion of early-20th-century (empirical) England and modern America.

in code geass england means like 70% percent of the whole world, they have japan and america......, the capital is not in london, hell the island is not within the territory the capital is in america, so it's eagleland

John_Martone

@cfatalis: The twist, I believe is that its "england," but the US's revolution failed, and they gained control pretty much entirely of North and South America. Weakened their position in Europe, and after Mechs... yeah
exploded everywhere.

@John_Martone: GASP how do you know half of the facts, code geass data book said that after Britannia succeed in invading America and defeating it's revolution as a sresult two event didn't happened world war 1 and 2, afterwards the begin to invade other country notable south america, afterwards Britannia moved their capital to america with the majority of the citizen
so EU decided to take england(the island into their territory) now the strange thing  is both EU and britannia invasion list actually inverse of each other

another note where japan got beaten by eagleland or other country

in gundam 00 the first mobile suit is produced by union , which is basically america
in gasaraki the first armored suit is made by german
in full metal panic it's russia

I took this from the site that ANN linked, is it a picture of the one they're talking about?:

@John_Martone: @cfatalis: @JJOR64: Heheheheheh.... once countries worldwide realize the potential of mobile suits, the space race will look like a cakewalk by comparison!

cfatalis

@HeeroYuy: we will have gundam 00 type of battle or code geass, although the mech will probably look like metal gear first before anything

@cfatalis: @Guyver: No, it's going to make nuclear weapons obsolete.   >:D

@Cfatalis: What do you mean by Gundam 00 or Code Geass type of combat? I hope it's not what I think you mean by it...

@HeeroYuy: not the combat, the war, it would be fought between major blocks, you can't expect poor country to make MS(or whatever it's going to be called, AS, KMF, etc)
, and are you kidding?, GP02 still uses nuclear as a main weapon, guess what it has the most killcount out of the gundam series , why do you think feds still keep nukes ? adn look at macross they carry 10 nuclear in frontier and 3 in macross zero per fighter, i know it's caled R-missile, but it's filled with plutonium

@Guyver:
yes it's large, so large no bomber can carry it, so we need giant mecha to do it

Guyver

Can't it be incorporated  in missle form?
