Tezuka on the iPhone, There is an App For That

Get your Black Jack on the run.

Tezuka Productions and D-Arc has just announced that they will be releasing Weekly Astro Boy Magazine on US iPhones this month. The first issue will be for free, and will feature Astro Boy, Black Jack, and Phoenix manga, and will be around 100 pages. This will not be completely free though, subsequent volumees will cost about $.99 each.

This has already launched in Japan, and has been with them since April. I’m not much of a comic reader on a personal hand held device, but it’s nice to know there is an option out there. What about you, will you be picking up the first issue?

I'm still a sucker for Astro Boy.  I might have to check this out.

Why hasn't someone brilliantly created an iPhone emulator or something?
