Tanigawa Cheats on Haruhi with Horror Manga

...I dunno about this one, guys...

Nagaru Tanigawa is the author of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and its subsequent eight follow-up novels. That number SHOULD be nine, but the 10th volume of the novel series has been on hold for a couple of years for undisclosed reasons...but it looks like AkibaBlog may have spotted one (NSFW-- nipples!).

Tanigawa has apparently been working with artist Takeda Hinata, on a manga called Kagerou Meikyu, and its first volume came out on August 10th. it's a "manga for readers who love novels," and revolves around a boy named Souji who transfers to a school closer to home after spending a semester studying far away. But after his return, a series of strange deaths occurs at his school. Souji begins to investigate at the behest of a classmate...word is that it becomes "horror more than mystery."

The front cover has a comment from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series director Yutaka "Yamakan" Yamamoto, who says "Tanigawa-sensei, soutou tamatterun desu ne.....," which I'm going to translate roughly as "Tanigawa-sensei, you're really collecting [your works], aren't you..."

So far I have to say that the manga sounds so...typical, compared to Tanigawa's somewhat zany novels. I wonder what it's like?

Murder, murder most fowl.
Ok sound good I may have to check it out if it comes out in the states.
