Take a Look at the Long Preview Video for Gundam Unicorn

It’s full trailer time baby, get all your Full Frontal action here!

Am I the only one who sees the word “unicorn” and thinks it is talking about one piece of corn? Regardless of my weird notions, here is the full preview video for the Gundam Unicorn anime that will be released on March 12, 2010. Here we are exposed to a Full Frontal preview of what we can expect out of this new Gundam show (ok I’ll stop with the Full Frontal jokes now.)

We are returning back to the Universal Century, so for being a Gundam snob, it’s wonderful being back home. Remember that this anime is going to be released simultaneously worldwide, in ten languages, so even your Grandmother in France will be able to get this. 2010 is going to be a great year to be a gundam fan.

I keep seeing unicorn and I get all excited. Then I realize it's not an anime about "real" unicorns...it's a gundam show. So it's about a robot unicorn...? Or rather a guy who pilots a unicorn shaped/reminiscent gundam? In an effort to say something nice and related...the show looks cool, and hopefully will appeal to gundam fans.

2010 is going to be a great year for anime fans in general. We're getting the Disappearance of Haruhi movie (for any of those whackos who still care), the Eden of the East movies, and most importantly, the Unlimited Blade Works movie! Gundam Unicorn is cool of course too.

It's odd that some of the  characters have that 80s hair. I guess that's for some sort of consistency in the timeline?

I wasn't into Gundam 00, So I hope I can get into this one.

I realize that...hence why I said the show is about "a guy who pilots a unicorn shaped/reminiscent gundam." But thanks for trying to clear things up.

This looks good.  Are we getting a live action Gundam sometime soon, too?
Nikoon Nov. 4, 2009 at 11:23 a.m.
I'm so looking forward to Unicorn. I love the designs. Not just the Unicorn Gundam either. The Re-ZEL and the Sinanju are also quite awesome looking.

we got one, and god it was awful

@cfatalis: No we didn't. What are you talking about? There was never a crappy live-action Gundam movie because it would obviously suck and have maybe 5 minutes of battle time  and never even mention the word "Gundam." It never happened.

Something is terribly, terribly wrong here...

@gia: What's wrong? I see nothing wrong. ;D

I'd come up with a personal comparison for you if I could to help explain why, but unfortunately I don't know of any particular series/story that you are super passionate about :(
(perhaps a second season of Ouran and the Haruhi movie rolled into one announcement?)

And of all the movies coming out next year, a lot of them show promise and probably will be great too, but UBW is the only one I know of that's pretty much guaranteed to be awesome. It would seriously take a conscious effort or an absolutely huuuge blunder to make it bad.
giaon Nov. 4, 2009 at 9:43 p.m.
@HeeroYuy: Yeah, it's been a long time since I really had an "OTF" (One True Fandom), so to speak. I've only ever had a few based on specific franchises, actually: Sailor Moon, then nothing until Harry Potter, then FMA (first anime), and briefly, Ghost Hunt. (I still adore GH, but it's a fairly small fandom, so you can never get quite the massive involvement that you can in a bigger-name franchise.)

That said, the biggest things I look for in entertainment are novelty and innovation. Eden of the East seems to me a much stronger promise of that than UBW...though admittedly due to my complete lack of interest in F/SN's anime iterations-- blah blah blah should play the game blah blah don't have anywhere near enough time to add visual novels to my plate --I don't know a ton about it.

you don't need to , remember fate story was 26 episode of mish mash, and some more

UBW is the scenario where it's longer than fate (it took me 18 hour to do fate scenarion while UBW takes 26)

and it has more fight scene
