If you didn't already know that Studio Ghibli was collaborating with Professor Layton creators Level 5 on a new Nintendo DS game called Ninokuni The Another World, here's the basics: it's Ghibli's first video game project, and the story revolves around a 13-year-old boy who receives a magic book that allows him to travel to the titular world of Ninokuni, where the people and animals he know have doppelgangers-- his cat, for example, is a king.
A little bit of word about the game has come out of the Game Developers Conference, such as the game being 20% done and new screens (albeit just photos of a projection screen) being online.
In
honor of the news, I've collected as many screens as I can find, some
old and some new. The newer ones are, I suspect, from Famitsu
originally, but I can't find them there; these were from PCHome
and 4gamer.
The older ones were found on Famitsu,
however.
Since it's a game and not an anime or manga (...yet!), I've gone ahead and made a concept page for Ninokuni. Enjoy!
