Be it as Space Cruiser Yamato in Japan, or Star Blazers stateside, this series is undeniably a classic. Yet, when we first talked about this adaptation, the only think I could think of was Michael Pinto. Michael, (who runs Fanboy.com) has history with this series, to say the least. If you read his thoughts on the trailer, it sounds like he's trying to protect himself from being hurt, but I'm looking forward to the movie with my nubile eyes.
Pointless Trivia: In Starcraft, the space faring battle cruiser unit has an ability called the "Yamato cannon."
