I just had a brief chat with Kurokami's US producer Toshifumi Yoshida, who gave me a few details about the soon-to-be-simultaneously-aired anime (and in particular its dub version): apparently in the anime, Keita is a high school student (whereas in the original manga he's a freelance computer programmer, although since Japan doesn't legally require high school this may not mean his age is any different).

Also, in the English dub they won't be using the term Mototsumitama (元神霊, Origin-God-Soul) to refer to Kuro's race of magic-users/spirit guardians/gods. The Japanese word is used in the original version and in Yen Press's English translation of the novel, but the dub will be using “Tera Guardian” instead. The Tera Guardians are in place to protect the Coexistence Equilibrium (referred to in some places as the “coexistence balance,” or 共存均衡 (kyouzon kinkou).

Mototsumitama is a long and confusing word. i'm glad that they went with the change to "Tera Guardian”.
