The story revolves primarily around one Neri Ooishi, a volleyball genius who was a runner-up at the nationwide volleyball tournament back in elementary school. Going into her next school she wants to avoid standing out, so she skips out on volleyball...but once she goes into high school, she gets steered back into the team.
So if you ever looked at Slam Dunk and other classic shounen sports series and thought "man, this would be so much better with chicks in skintight outfits," this might be the one for you. Or not-- these aren't bikinis we're talking about here. And the girls are a bit on the butch side. Still, sounds kinda cool.
Akagi taught me that subject matter that I don't give a crap about can be way interesting with a good approach, so I'll keep an eye out.
