Shoujo Art Studio
Here's how it's going to work: you post a piece of art, any piece you want, already made or not (but yes, it has to be YOURS). John, Len, and I are going to select the winners this time around-- we're slightly rushed on this contest, so no time to do a full voting round this time. Why the rush? Well, it has to do with the Grand Prize.
The winner will receive a copy of mangaka Yishan Li's Shoujo Art Studio, published by Random House (and due in stores 9/08). The book is the "ultimate guide" to drawing characters, backgrounds, and also comes with a CD with Photoshop and Illustrator templates.
But the catch? The winner has to review the book, of course! Nothing too taxing, just a few paragraphs on the effectiveness of the techniques, the usefulness of the CD, that sort of thing.

That book totally looks so awesome *3*/ I would probably be able to write a super long review on it without realizing it :P
