As far as Japanese wrestling goes - I'd recommend looking for DVDs on line from sites like HighSpots.com. They have a good selection of events from various promotions, as well as some good "Best of the Year" DVDs, which will just give you a bunch of the best matches from various promotions like Osaka Pro & New Japan.
If you prefer something with American commentators but Japanese style wrestling, the promotion Dragon Gate USA, while booked and holding events in the US, has a lot of good Japanese wrestlers.
