Sentai Snatches Hidamari, Glass Mask, Angelique

New releases comin' at you from Section23 and company.

I just got a new press release from Section23 announcing some new titles and upcoming releases for client Sentai Filmworks, including the first season of Hidamari Sketch, the more recent adaptation of '70s manga Glass Mask (the runtime on part 1 is 650 minutes, so I assume it's the first half of the 2005 TV anime, not the 1984 series nor the subsequent OVA), and Neo Angelique Abyss.

Also on Section 23's plate is AEsir Holdings' release of the originally ADV-licensed Petite Princess Yucie in a complete collection. I haven't seen this Gainax title, but I recall that one higher-ranking Gainax staffer-- possibly Hiroyuki Yamaga? --claimed it was his favorite at a Fanime Con panel a couple years back.

Finally, Section23 is also distro-ing another batch of live-action DVDs from Switchblade Pictures. These are: Akiballion: Battlemaids of Akihabara, and two separate double-features: Female Combatants Battle School and Demonic Heroine in Peril, and Birthday Mail and Kokkuri-san. Here's the press release...

And here's a quickie summary in case you don't have time for the full PR:
  • Petite Princess Yucie Complete Collection - 1/5/10, $49.98
  • Akiballion: Battlemaids of Akihabara Complete Collection - 1/5/10, $19.98

Great to see Hidamari Sketch getting released; love the manga! Wonder if the DS game will ever see a release outside of Japan?

@Eelcire: Anime games don't tend to make it over unless they're one of the big'uns (Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball), with some exceptions...but we can cross our fingers. :)

That's it, my nutbladder won't have a chance of ever actually working again.

Are those prices for full seasons or just some episodes?
