Sentai Filmworks Licenses Fist of the North Star Raoh Gaiden

Everyone needs more Raoh in their lives.

Since ADV will not have a panel at this year’s Anime Expo, they decided to join in on the fun and announce an anime as well. Sentai Filmworks will be bringing out the short Fist of the North Star side story, Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh. This is a 13-episode series about Kenshiro’s older brother Raoh; you know, they guy with the helmet, cape, and giant horse. This is the story about how he became the ruthless “King of Fist”, the conqueror of the century’s end.

The entire series will ship on the 15th of September, and will be in one entire set under the name "Legends of the Dark Kings: A Fist of the North Star". I love it how they are no longer releasing DVDs with only a few episodes on one DVD for $25; it works out so much better this way (at least for us). To celebrate this occasion, I think we all should put our fist in the air for Raoh, in his honor.
