Fall 2010 is going to be a great time for anime, because we will finally be able to set our eyes on the High School of the Dead anime. For those of you who can not wait, check out the trailer, shot by some brave otaku at this year’s Tokyo Anime Fair. What’s not to love about High School of the Dead? It is full of students killing zombies, full of fanservice, and full of more blood and more fanservice. Anime doesn’t really have a good zombie show, or zombie anything for that matter; in relation to the west. But now things are going to be different. So get excited people!

Wow... this actually could be pretty good. Nice amount of action, not too much overbearing fanservice to the point that it degrades it, I think it'll be worth a shot.

Garbage reminds of me of the rosario series but with stupid zombies. It has good animation but I will definitely not be watching this. The fanservice is stupid just from the trailer alone.

I'm torn*. Some of those "running the gaunlet" zombie action scenes look extremely awesome, but the big-breast fanservice looks to be taken to the point where I feel kind of embarrassed for everyone involved, including me, the audience member. I mean I've watched my share of Dragonaut, but the Huge Boob Physics in that show didn't seem quite as straight-up GOOFY. That said, I'm a major zombie fan, so I'm definitely hoping for the best.

I'm intrigued, but it looks like it might be a little too fanservicey for my tastes. That's too bad, too, because it looks like it could have been a lot of fun.

I'm not sure why, but when I first started reading this( the manga that is), I really liked it. I think it was because it was only mildly fanservicey(if you can believe that) and it had an interesting appeal to the characters. The way the manga is now though, the fanservice is cranked up to eleven and everyone just seems so bloodthirsty. It's like how Gantz was before it focused on the character development and battles instead of sex.

Oh well, guess I won't be checking it out.

The animation seems amazing, but I can't imagine that it has an even slightly interesting plot.

Looks great, I just started reading the scans a while back, and the anime looks extremely faithful to the manga. I love zombie flicks, so mixing anime with zombies is totally something I'm going to check out. I'm glad that the violence and gore has not been toned down for the adaptation like some series have done in the past.

To those complaining about the fanservice, a bit of warning, I think the trailer is a lot milder than the actual content will be. The manga has a lot of fanservice shots.

all though I did find the fan service a little much... and I LOVE FAN SERVICE! I can't wait to see it and I'm hoping for the breast! at see what I did there.

I cant wait for this, i love me some zombies and i cant get enough of them.

As for the fan service, it's right up there with sparkly eyes and giant hair as a prerequisite in every anime these days so i don't really mind it if they just decide to frame the camera for optimal up skirts from time to time. While i agree that tits for tits sake can detract from a show, some times, but think about the genre this is trying to emulate; a 70's-80's style zombie horror flick. If a few up skirts and large bouncy boobs are gonna turn you off of this show then never watch a movie made before the 90's because they had real fan service back then; the best even had full frontal nudity.

To be fair, they didn't discover the razer until some time after the 80's. So some of those full frontal shots looked like a large hairy animal was attacking the actresses vagina. But still, full frontal nudity!

Oh man, I really hope that the anime will turn out good. Since everthing that we see look amazing.
Also, Godlen you forgot gun porn, on your list for reason why we love High School of the Dead.

the manga inpressed me long ago too much fan service but I'm willing to let that slide in exchange for the rest of it which is pritty kick ass

Read the entire manga thats been released so far and its pretty awesome!I will definitely check this out, I wonder how gory it will be though the manga could go pretty far sometimes?And Fan service is always a plus honestly.
