Second Shot: Affinities for Felicia and Fin

Now, you guys know that most of my comic book knowledge comes from '90s cartoon adaptations like Batman: The Animated Series and X-Men-- and Spider-Man: The Animated Series. And while I always liked fiery Mary Jane over, say, Lois Lane, but I always found myself attracted the most to Felicia Hardy, aka the Black Cat. Maybe it was the ridiculously low-cut outfit, I dunno, but either way I'm excited that Felicia might make an appearance in the next Spider-Man. Mmm. <3

Some of you guys also know that I am a frequent watcher of both Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the latter of which features Ice-T (at least for now, since his character Fin Tutuola has made reference to putting in a transfer request). So wen I saw this picture on Giant Bomb I let loose a flurry of snickers the like of which you could not even imagine.

Vice kept pretty busy yesterday, and the one thing you absolutely must check out from yesterday is Fumiko no Kokuhaku, a really impressive short anime by 21-year-old student Hiroyasu Ishida, who I'm debating officially calling the next Makoto Shinkai, minus all the emo. We'll see!

After all this I had to go back to Ikea to exchange a couple of items. It's like I can't escape now! What did you do to make your Monday pass?

It makes my heart smile to see that pic of Ice-T looking like a total nerd. I'll be sad if he leaves Law & Order SVU. I spent Monday being a mostly worthless grad student, but I did read two of the four articles for one of my classes. And I did a little research into in Anime and gender for a paper I'm considering writing.
