Second Shot: A Post 9/9 World

Lots of nostalgia...I thought this was Labor Day, not Memorial Day!


 
 
Yesterday was 9-9-9, which-- believe it or not, kids --was NOT devoted entirely to a Touhou character. Thank god. No, on Giant Bomb the gamers mourned the loss of the Dreamcast, which was originally released on 9/9/99.

Comic Vine didn't do anything in particular to celebrate the day, but that doesn't mean they didn't have plenty worth reading. Perhaps of most interest is word that that whole Disney/Marvel purchase that has had everyone up in arms for the last week or so may not actually be quite as done a deal as we thought. That doesn't mean it's cancelled, of course, but I guess we'll just see what happens. Somehow I expect it'll get worked out, honestly.

And at Vice, I shared my top 9 hentai of the '90s. Why? Because I felt like it. And I'd just been having a total hentai nostalgia trip with a bunch of kids at KumoriCon. So there.

I read most of those articles, with the acception of the Giantbomb details on the Dreamcast.
 
What I did for 9/9/09?
I worked on a drawing of Starscream that I was commissioned to make, and browsed te internet for pictures of Nami and Jill Valentine. I also had an oatmeal raisin cookie. I actually prefer chocolate chip.

Well I went to go watch 9. So now in my ticket stub collection, I have one with the movie "9" on 09/09/09...at 12:25. I would have watched it at 9:00 pm but I didn't want to pay more! lol
