Sakura-Con Hosts Haruhi/Shana Artist Noizi Ito

OH GOD I WANNA BE THERE!

Sakura-Con, in Seattle this April, is seriously pulling in some major scores this year-- first the Trigun movie's world premiere (and director), and now they've announced as a Guest of Honor Noizi Ito, who is one of Japan's biggest illustrators at the moment thanks to her work on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana.

Ito-- who is, indeed, a female, though most people don't realize it since her most well-known works are more aimed at men --will be on-hand at the convention presumably to take questions and show off her skills. I would die to be there! How much are flights to Seattle these days anyway?...

It would be awesome to be there and get to meet her!

Sounds awesome too bad that is when exams start and it's on the west coast.(Pretty much directly west to) T_T
Isn't the band High and Mighty Color also coming to Sakura-Con I believe it will be their first time back in North America since getting a new vocalist in 2009 after Mākii left. I liked their first single (XYZ) with the new vocalist (Halca) she's got a deeper range than Mākii, which gives a different kind of sound.

Mikuru looks more bouncy in that pic than usual.

Wow.... Noizi Ito too? That's quite impressive... She's one of only a few on my list of "Artists that might be worth going out of my way to meet".

Stupid reality that the things we want cost money, often in proportion to how much we want them.
