SaiMoe: Oh Shi-- Again!?

The moe-battles rage on!

No battles tomorrow, but then we start round THREE! Data, as always, from...well, you know.

Today's Battles 9/19

 Ritsu Tainaka
 Ritsu Tainaka
 Ushio Okazaki
 Ushio Okazaki
I am shocked, my friends, to tell you that K-On!'s Ritsu Tainaka and CLANNAD's Ushio Okazaki TIED at 363 votes each today. Two ties in three days-- that's pretty crazy! Hidamari Sketch's Yoshinoya earned a respectable but losing 137 votes.

Aaaand our final round two bracket winner is Ef's Miyako Miyamura, who totally schooled Ichigo Marshmallow's Chika Itou and, to my surprise, Saki's Tomoki Sawamura. Huh.

Next Battles 9/21

  • It'll be imouto versus oneechan when precocious young'n Chiaki Minami, from Minamike, takes on Strike Witches' sisterly commander Minna Dietlinde-Wilcke. Chiaki had more votes last round, but does that count for anything?
  • And a mystic takes on a mystic: can Combat Butler Hayate's Isumi Saginomiya exorcise Kannagi's Nagi-sama? They actually both had the same number of votes in their first rounds, but Isumi had way more for the second round-- and she was up against Mio Akiyama. So I guess that's where I lean!

Your Turn!

Sunday's our day off, but let's pretend we could bring back three characters who lost for another face-off. Who would you bring?
HeeroYuyon Sept. 19, 2009 at 4:21 p.m.
I would bring back Ryougi Shiki, and transform the competition from a moeblob popularity contest into a weapons-allowed cage match. let's see how long your precious Nagisa lasts then you blob-lovers!! Bwahahahahah!

Dig Deeper into Moe

Moe (pronounce moh-eh) is a Japanese slang term for something one likes, and within the anime realm is used to refer to characters who inspire a protective sort of love-- usually because the characters seem to need someone to take care of them.
