Today's Battles 8/22

Okay, let's see...To Love-RU's Mikan took home the gold, because MariaHolic's Dorm Mistress was too busy cleaning and talking to her dog. And Spice and Wolf's Nora was too busy shepherding. And Tayutama's Yumina was...uh...well...lame.

Meanwhile Strike Witches struck another blow at the haters by propelling Francesca Lucchini to the obvious win, with Akikan!'s Melon in a not-so-close second, followed by Toradora!'s Yuri and KimiKiss' Mao-chan.

It should come to no one's surprise that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni's Rika Furude took the win, though I thought Strike Witches' Eila might edge out above her...the lesser Fujibayashi twin, Ryou, took third, with Saki's Mutsuki Tsuyama in last.

And finally, I am sorry to say that Macross Frontier's Klan Klan lost to Toradora!'s Minori, followed by Asu no Yoichi!'s Kagome and Higurashi's Miyo Takano. Siiiiigh.

I kind of wish Gundam 00's Feldt would take her bracket, but I kind of doubt she will.

I hope Mikuru goes down in flames built on the hatred fans have of Endless Eight, however.

I thought I hated Minorin before, but the fact that a lot of people seem to like her makes me loathe her that much more. My predictions are Maria by a longshot, someone, Kagami and Nagisa. Aside from the second bracket there, which I know nothing about, all of those seem like pretty easy wins.

Except when she's being a whiny emo bitch which in the end seemed like all the freaking time. She might be disguised as adorable to some people, but I've seen through any camouflage and know her true form.

It's gonna be Maria, Chizuru, Kagami, and Nagisa. That's my bet for the next round. I'll be surprised if it's not.

I like Minorin, I don't watch enough anime to know who any of those others were though.

Moe (pronounce moh-eh) is a Japanese slang term for something one likes, and within the anime realm is used to refer to characters who inspire a protective sort of love-- usually because the characters seem to need someone to take care of them.
