SaiMoe: BDSM Queens and Cheese Lovers

The latest in moegirl fighting!

Japan's annual competition to find the moe-est anime character continues, but there weren't any close competitions yesterday-- when even I can predict all the winners, you know it was all pretty obvious.

Louise (this is my wallpaper, btw)

Still, though, I'm happy to report that Louise de la Valliere, of Zero no Tsukaima, whipped Hidamari Sketch's Sae, Seto no Hanayome's Luna Edomae, and Hayate the Combat Butler's Chiharu Harukaze. And when I say “whipped” I mean it literally.

Kyou
Kyou
Kyou Fujibayashi, CLANNAD's aggressive, foul-mouthed chef, took a roundhouse kick to Gundam 00's Marina Ismail, sucker-punched Tales of the Abyss' Anise Tatline, and KO'd Tower of Druag'as Kaaya with a mere flick of the finger.

Tsuruya-san
Tsuruya-san
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's resident cheese lover, Tsuruya-san-- who has become something of the series' mascot, more so than the so-called “mascot character” Mikuru, if you ask me –has apparently not suffered the same Endless Eight backlash other Haruhi characters may, laughing her way to an easy first over Da Capo's Kotori, Sekirei's Tsukiumi, and KimiKiss' Yuumi Hoshino.

Kotomi
Kotomi
Finally, CLANNAD takes home another trophy for round one, as Kotomi Ichinose wins over Code Geass' C.C., Hidamari Skech's Chika, and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's Kiri Komori. I heard she won because while the other three were fighting, she just sat in the library...

Tomorrow's Battles

  • Minamike's YOSHINO vs Strike Witch's MIO SAKAMOTO vs Hayate the Combat Butler's RISA ASAKAZE vs Minamike's RIKO
  • Negima's KONOKA KONOE vs Hayate the Combat Butler's SHIORI MAKIMURA vs Strawberry Marshmallow's NOBUE ITOU vs Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu's HARUKA
  • The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's KYON'S SISTER vs Wagaya no Oinari-sama's KUUGEN vs Akaneiro ni Somarusaka's KAREN vs Sekirei's MUSUBI
  • Utawarerumono's ARURU vs K-On!'s TSUGUMI vs Pani Poni Dash!'s BECKY vs Saki's MOMOKO TOUYOKO

My predictions: there are few obvious favorites here, at least to me. I'm guessing Mio Sakamoto, Haruka, Kyon's Sister, and of course Tsumugi will whomp the other three in her category. But the other three, I really don't feel so confident about.

What do you think?

The first thing that come in mind when I see Louise is not moe but pain.

Yay Louise! ;)

Dig Deeper into Moe

Moe (pronounce moh-eh) is a Japanese slang term for something one likes, and within the anime realm is used to refer to characters who inspire a protective sort of love-- usually because the characters seem to need someone to take care of them.
