Rumor Time: Persona 5 For the PlayStation 3!

News has it that there is going to be a Persona 5, and it’s finally going to take the next step forward into the glorious realm of the PlayStation 3. Siliconera reports that a pachinko publication, 7rush, has made the daring claim that Persona 5 will be announced for the PlayStation 3. Now this seems kind of odd that a panchinko publication would know first before anyone else, but as they say, truth is stranger than fiction.

Do you come with the game?

There is actually a Shin Megami Tensei panchislot machine, and it was just showcased in a press event in Roppongi earlier this month. During this event someone must of had some loose lips, and word got out about this new game in the making. Now Persona 4 had a similar problem as well, when it was revealed by Bloomberg mentioning the game in a financial report; so it isn’t totally out of right field.

Regardless if this is true or not, this game will without a doubt be made; it practically prints money.

great. Please fix the fusion. Strange that it only for the PS3. I was thing more of a PS3 and X360 release.

Well this gives me plenty of time to finish... P3. Then P4. AND THEN P5.

A bit late yes but hey it works for me. :P I do hope it's on the PS3, it'll look pretty <3

I just had flashbacks to the Wii dragon quest games *shivers* maybe coming for the wii wouldn't be a good idea

The persona series has never been one to strife for looks, so i doubt it''ll look all that better. As for the system, I'm not so sure this will be a PS3 exclusive (or 360) Most likely it will either go the same way as Final Fantasy 13 or be a PS2 exclusive, either having all the major consuls it won't effect me much.

I only have a 360 and a PS2 =( and I can't afford a PS3. Doesn't seem like a good idea for it to be PS3 exclusive since it has the smallest install base of the consoles.

? The PS3 has a much larger install base in Japan, in fact probably over a hundred times that of the 360.

Still lotsa time for me to finish P4 and play through P3 before this comes out. Now if only there weren't any other games coming out I'd be a lot easier. Then again I could never bring myself to get to far ahead of the Endurance Run.

I'm thinking Persona 5 will probably be announced for both the PS3 and the 360 if they're actually moving the series up to current gen consoles, it seems to be what would make the most sense.

Then again...Valkyria Chronicles.

@Void_Wizard: Yeah, but the Persona franchise is pretty famous in the US, so bringing it to the Xbox 360 is not a bad idea...
