Rumor Squad: New Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei?

What a great way to start a Friday! I would be thrilled to death if there were really a new Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei anime in the works, as Sankaku Complex (close to, but not quite, NSFW) spreads rumors of. If you're not familiar with the basic idea of Zetsubou Sensei, check out my review of the manga's first volume, as released by Del Rey Manga.

That said, it's also interesting to check out Sankaku's post, because they have a little chart of all the leaks that this particular 2ch source has offered and whether they've turned out to be correct (or are still unknown). I wasn't aware that all these rumors came from one source, like the one about new Haruhi episodes being mixed in with the old ones during the April rebroadcast.

Turns out that everything from this source has come true or is unknown, with the exception that A Certain Scientific Railgun will be released in '09, not '10. Hmm!

Oh gods yesyesyespleasepleaseyes! Unto whom  of should we render sacrifice and burnt offerings to ensure such a  bounty comic richness? (The only thing which might exceed that would be an FLCL sequal. . .)

*crosses fingers* PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE TRUE. We need more SZS stuff in the world <3

Dig Deeper into Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

A series consisting of a suicidal teacher and his eccentric students, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a comedy series whose subjects are as varied as the characters themselves. With no underlining plot, each episode and chapter typically stands on its own without much canonical connection to the others whatsoever.
