Famitsu has recently announced the next game in the Another Century’s Episode line of mecha royal rumbles: Another Century’s Episode R for the Playstation 3. Most importantly, here is the list of anime that will be participating in this slobberknocker:
Super Dimension Century Orguss
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Char’s Counterattack
Crossbone Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny
Overman King Gainer
Full Metal Panic!
Code Geass R2
Genesis of Aquarion
Macross
Macross Frontier
Banpresto originals
The game so far is 70% complete, and will be released sometime during Summer of 2010, which isn’t too far away at all! Another Century’s Episode or A.C.E. is the love child of Super Robot Wars and Armored Core. It is a fast-paced 3D action game that feature mecha from many different anime coming together to throw down. Unlike Super Robot Wars, A.C.E. Usually focuses on real robots, as opposed to super robots. Though every once in a while they end up throwing a super robot in there for good measure, like Aquarion for example. Check out a mecha-load of screenshots below.

This could be pretty cool. Armored Core is really good in the graphics department and I've been waiting for a legitimate Gundam/other mecha game that would do justice to the anime in terms of story, gameplay, and graphics. I really like that this will be on the PS3, too.
This game has already been sold for me.
Gawain pls!
@XChile:
knowing them there would be gawain , it would look like the pallete/sprite swap of nirvash spec 3
there's aquarion in there....., i wonder who is the awesome unit there( ACE 2 have feather ark and original with OHKO attack, ACE3 have nirvash3 the map clearer)
what you are requesting is inherently equivalent to world peace
CO-OP?!?! You just made my knees weak.
But although I'm really disappointed in the cast, there seems to be some points of interest even here, and I'm really happy ACE isnt done as a side franchise to Super Robot Wars. And judging by the screenshots, its going to be really pretty if nothing else. Hopefully they refine the controls some as well.
ACE3 had split-screen co-op and versus. While you weren't able to do all the missions in co-op, it was still delicious mecha co-op action. This is a feature I can't do without.

The objectives are always pretty straight-forward and displayed on your map. It isn't particularly difficult to play the game even without knowing any Japanese.
I'd like to play that game with the Guren. More so since I recently had my PS3 hooked up online. I'm looking forward to really playing some games in co-op.
You kind of have to worry though about some of the uber powerful mechs of the series. Such as the Guren SEITEN. I have issues about balancing for this game.
It's kind of sad that we might never see this game in the US.
and of course MAC
D: f'realz, there already are macross games for the ps3? do they play like ace frontier and ultimate frontier for the psp?
