Whoops, got distracted there. Sorry. Back to the OVA ... Danny Choo has shared not only new screenshots from it, but also a new character named Yuu, who is bound to be someone's waifu by the end of the day. She is a friend of the main character, Mato, and will be voiced by Kana Asumi (Toradora, Angel Beats). We know that these real life girls have alternate personas in a dark world, which is where we meet characters like Black Rock Shooter, Dead Master and more.
The OVA will be screened at the upcoming Wonder Festival on July 25th to coincide with the official release. Are you interested in checking it out?
-Yui Asakawa is a steel bodied robot who was hired by Anime Vice to present the news clinically with no regard for the hopes and dreams of others. Permanently stationed in Tokyo, she has oversized guns built into her forearms, can't go a week without hitting a takoyaki vendor, and occasionally smiles at the sight of very small kittens.

I can't wait for this anime. I already have a nice PS3 theme downloaded to keep me in check. I don't know much on the story but the art is very interesting and what I'm looking forward to seeing in action.
The artist of Black Rock Shooter Huke made this character either before or around the same as Hatsune Miku was made, but yes people always call her a Hatsune lookalike(abit the same as people always saying that digimon is a ripoff of pokemon even though its pretty much the same case) .
Also i have been waiting forever for this, first time i saw Black Rock Shooter art i have been in love the art style and character design(so much that i still regret not saying "to hell with savings and paying bills I WANT THAT FIGURE!!!" when i saw the first figure of her for sale).
The animation version figurine looks awesome too, I don't think I'll be able to put off reserving it for much longer :3
Agreed...there is a boatload of great fanmade stuff related to BRS. I have been waiting for this franchise/concept to get it's own anime show and soon that glorious day will arrive! n_n
I've heard nothing about this but then agian I'm old and don't pay attention to Anime News as much as I used to. I must say though I'm now interested in finding more on the art and the OAV.
