I have never really been fond of samurai-type stories, but the tale of wacky kendo instructor Kojiro can sometimes be endearing. That's why for my top manga pick I am showcasing Bamboo Blade. Like past volumes, the ninth volume will probably take Kojiro's all girls' kendo team on more shenanigans thanks to the instructor's inability to stay out of debt. As it usually happens I am sure that small kendo master, Tamaki, will end up saving the day like always.
Some time ago I enjoyed watching the A Certain Scientific Railgun anime. Since I tend to favor manga over anime I am pretty sure I would like the first volume release of a manga book by the same name. That's why for my new series pick I am going to go with Seven Seas' release of A Certain Scientific Railgun volume one. The story is about four girls who live in Academy City, a place where not having super powers makes you an outcast. One of the girls is a powerful teleporter, the other has a low power set which allows healing, the third has no powers at all, and the fourth is one of the seven students from all over the city with the highest power set in history. The girls go from fighting crime to hanging out at the mall. I'm sure the action pack stories balance out well for everyone to enjoy.
For my appealing anime pick I have to make note that a very popular series is finally being released here in North America. Highschool of the Dead the Complete Collection is out this week and if you like anime about fighting for survival, zombies and school uniforms then this is the anime for you. (That's right, school uniforms is what separates this from The Walking Dead. That and the fact that this is animated)
So, what are your "picks"?

Ooooh Cowboy Bebop film on blu-ray If it's out in the UK I can pick that up and write it off as a gift for the gf.
I already preordered Highschool of the Dead on Blu-ray. All I need to do now it wait for it to arrive.
I just ordered Cowboy Bebop on BD.
HotD and Dragon Ball Kai will be picked up within on a month or two. I want to buy GE999, but I'm very bahumbug about it not coming out on Blu-ray even though there is a BD release in Japan... which looks amazing judging by screenshots.
@FoxxFireArt: me too! still sad baka and test got pushed to august though. :(
Exact same thing for me.
Other than that, nothing here that I want. Still need to watch Rideback.
