More One Piece mangas out just means more mangas to skip over. I take one look at the list this week. Looks like a complete Skip Week. Though I haven't yet got Negima! Volume 25 that came out last week. Right now, that's the only one missing from my collection. I'm going to have to write a review for that.

@gia: Just don't get the books. The same way I fully support FUNimation's dubbing of One Piece on their site and giving people the options to support either the dub or the subtitles in an official manner. If a company does try and give options. That should be encouraged and supported. I don't care how many commercials they add. I enjoy being able to officially support a series and watch the show with subtitles. On the other hand I boycott the VIZ publication of One Piece. Yes, they are putting them into a higher publication to try and market the online audience. The flip side of that coin. Boycotting all VIZ products is an extension of them not offering any kind of options for those who want unedited Detective Conan mangas. Forcing us who want to real story to only have scanlations as an option. I actually used to work with a scanlation group that solely worked on that series. We strove to be as accurate as possible and still have things easy to read. Much in the same way Del Rey does their publications.
Tegami Bachi...Gah, if only all the bookstores at my nearest mall didn't go out of business, then I'd go and get volume 2 on top of the first volume of Kuroshitsuji [which I didn't manage to get its release week because the shipment to the other store was late].
Also reminds me that I'm still very very behind on One Piece...

@FoxxFireArt: Me? *I* might get the books. I wasn't suggesting you would boycott Ponyo because VIZ was selling some of its merch; I just thought it was interesting.
@Konanda: My biggest complaint with Disney is their "vault" crap-- these days. (I'm still a complete sucker for Disneyland.)

@gia: That is kind of interesting. As if Disney also doesn't have publishers for the books.
I more just took that opportunity to really talk up FUNimation's video streaming. It feels really good to be able to support One Piece through an official site and get a well produced subtitle anime. That I don't need to go to fan sub sites for the series. This sort of action needs to be supported so I'm trying to tell as many people as possible on all kinds of sites. Also couldn't resist a chance to take a dig at VIZ for not offering options to those that want it.
@John_Martone: I live by the motto of "It's better to laugh at everything, because the only alternative is to cry." Of course that same way of thinking has gotten me into my own fair share of trouble, but it beats the alternative. Sorry if my jokes make anyone feel uncomfortable, i never know when I take things too far. Just let me know and i will stop if/when i do.

My complaint about Disney (specifically referring to Disney itself not it's acquisitons) is how many of their films (mainly the animated ones) is how they end up taking a story from some other culture and than take out any of the bits they didn't like or completely edit them to have a different meaning. Followed by throwing in a bunch of negative imagery running the gamut from racist stereotypes to negative ideals and goals for the children that their material is primarly aimed at in their perpetual cycle of getting parents to buy their product so they can plop their child down in front of it to try to indoctrinate them as well.
Their business practices also disturb me since they are zealously defensive of their IP to the point where if you even try to criticize them in a publication they will strike fast and hard with their legal team to run you into the ground for supposed slander, couple that with being overly protective in the sense of their copyright like when they threatened to sue the hell out of a pre-school if they didn't remove the painting of Whinnie the Pooh they had done on a wall of their classroom.
Oh and I could write many many things about what Micheal Eisner has done. That said I don't really have a problem with most of their acquistions and thankfully they were smart enough to not mess a whole lot with something that was doing well before they bought it. In fact Miramax released the film Dogma, which is a favourite of mine and Pixar has been great in their own film releases (with the exception of Cars) and their localization of Studio Ghibli films, compared to when Disney was first localizing themselves (well pre-Ghibli) and instead of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind they put out Warriors of the Wind. (sorry to bring up that painful memory anybody) Being the worst example of their heavy handed localization techniques, thankfully Studio Ghibli sent them the katana with "no cuts". The dubs Pixar has overseen though have been good.
See ya!

You are right Disney is much worse.

Unfortunately I doubt this one is actually coming out, seeing as how book 3 didn't make it out yet :(
HA. This is why we undeleted you.
Well, that and your just generally charming disposition.
