I'm with Geekachu on Soul Eater > Dante's Inferno (Although if we are talking about the original first part of the Divine Comedy I'd give it to Inferno)
Also a little bit of trivia, Jörmungandr is the name of a serpent that surrounds the earth biting down on his own tail in Norse mythology. When he lets go of the tail Ragnarök will begin, he is the son of the god Loki and the giantess Angrboða and is killed during Ragnarök by Thor but not before poisoning him and after walking nine paces Thor falls over and dies.
Soul Eater looks like something I may get into.
Soul Eater really is a very good series. I've always enjoyed the relationship between Medusa and Stein.
