Question of the Week: Anime Soundtracks

Okay, so it was a Question of the 2 Weeks. Gimme a break!

So I gave you guys two weeks to talk over this week's question, which was: what is your favorite anime soundtrack? I was expecting to see a lot of overlap on this one, but there was surprisingly little! I think the only overlaps we had were FLCL and Digimon. Which goes to show just how many awesome anime soundtracks there are out there!

A few others that were mentioned:
- Macross Frontier
- Bubblegum Crisis
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Hellsing
- K-On!
- Kara no Kyoukai
- Paprika

And maaaany others. A lot of you also included YouTube clips with the music, so anyone who's looking for something to listen to should head on over and look at the full list.

This week's question of the week is: which movie are you most longing to see-- the very, very, very long-awaited Trigun: Badlands Rumble, or the more current title The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya? Answers like "neither" are also acceptable, but only if you include something else you're really excited for!

Well the Digimon and FLCL sound track kicked ass, it' would be hard to find better sound tracks in any thing

Samurai Champloo is still the only soundtrack I still actively listen too / use as ringtone / alarm

Wait, there was a soundtrack question? Ah man, I totally missed that. I'd have answered Cowboy Bebop, hands-down. Runner-up would be the Lupin III soundtrack and special mention goes to the band that did the opening theme song for Michiko to Hatchin, "Paraiso" by Soil & Pimp Sessions.

Can you guess the theme running through these three? It isn't too hard to find.

Trigun and Haruhi? Those are the two primary options?

I mean, there's so many other big titles coming out too, like the Eden of the East movies, and (some would argue but not me) Gundam 00, not to mention the best one of them all that you haven't mentioned. :D
