Pre-Order Blu-Rei Evangelion for Cheap!

Get it, blu-"rei?"

...
So, Amazon is pretty cool today, eh? Seems that not only are they leaking company titles/dates, they're also dropping prices on certain things... things that haunt your dreams.

19.99?!?! I paid more than that for the sub-par DVD I bought last month! Any and every Evangelion fan with a Blu-Ray player and little desire to burn money "must" go pre-order this now. Of course, it won't be in your hands for another month and half, but won't your thriftiness make March 9th all the sweeter.

Wait... March 9th. Really guys? March 9th? I hate everyone.

>_>

I'll buy it, but it'll be at least 24 hours before I can watch it ;)

Then again, this is an anime preorder, not a Harry Potter book, so I doubt they're guaranteeing to get it there day-of-release...

Damn.  That's dirt cheap for a blu ray movie.
Void_Wizardon Jan. 14, 2010 at 4:34 p.m.
I pre-ordered it even though I don't have a blu-rei player yet. It's a must have for Eva fans who want it in high resolution!

Hmm, folks on the #AnimeVice IRC channel just pointed out that it's only one 50-minute episode (of 6), so while it's a pretty good deal all in all, it's still not amazingly cheap :\

I actually went for the Rightstuf sale going on right now. Came out just a little bit cheaper with a couple other things I'm picking up. Free shipping and no darn sales tax from Amazon (Hate you NY!)

With a memberships with Rightstuff and the sale it comes out cheaper, as long as you buy a few other things with it.

I think for me with shipping it came out to about $20 from rightstuf

Huh, we were talking about Gundam Unicorn in the channel not Evangelion at that time. This movie is over 1hr and 40minutes long.

I saw that few weeks ago and jumped on it. The Rightstuf deal is kind of tempting since I live in NY but I'll stick with amazon since I've got Prime.

@Void_Wizard: Yeah, I posted on the wrong thread, my bad :)

Oh nice. Plus, this way you get to support the people who sell these things pretty much exclusively. How much does a membership cost?

@GrandMarshal:
But, but, I LIKED that one! Also, before I forget to message back to you again, those Kamina glasses were for a feature we did on the dude.

EDIT: whoops, wrong link, though that goes to an even cooler feature on Kamina.

Right now I love my good credit and Amazon.  I'm so buying this. Since I live in Latin America, it will arrive for my birthday more or less.

@John_Martone: Its $12 a year for 10% off everything but bargain bin items. Its like Sam's Club for Otaku!
