Now, this looks fun. Why, it even sounds like a promotion straight out of the sort of classic superhero comics that TIGER & BUNNY paid such fond tribute to.
So, if you’ve got yourself an advanced ticket to forthcoming TIGER & BUNNY - - THE BEGINNING flick, you can hop on over to here, punch in a code and participate in a weekly poll to determine which crime-fighters out of HERO TV’s ranks will be showing up and getting the most screen time in the movie’s finale. As relayed by ANN, the winning character gets the moniker “King of Movie Hero” and three minutes of screen time, while the next four runners-up get progressively lower intervals, going all the way down to an all-too-fleeting 15 seconds step in.
The producers insist that this first flick won’t just be a clip show, but a “hybrid” interspersing new material with all the old stuff - - and this bit of news would certainly support that. (Well, unless it’s just a matter of editing instead of producing new animation.)
Either way, it sounds like a fun little stunt. I haven’t actually seen anybody do something like this since… well… since that time in the 2D CLONE WARS show where fans got to pick which alien Jedi bit it in a battle. So, yeah, maybe it won’t shape the movie drastically, but at least it shows there will potentially be more interesting things going on besides the retreaded footage?
