Persona 3 Portable: A Little Bit Different

Persona 3 Portable gets a new heroine.

So word is that Persona 3 is being ported out to the PSP, but it's not just going to be a quick bang-slam-thank-you-ma'am copy of the original PS2 game, oh no-- apparently it will feature a brand-new heroine, pictured above.

The new port is due out on November 1st in Japan, and of course there's no word on whether a North American release is in the plans.

Now, as someone who hasn't played P3, or anything in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, I have to ask you guys: how much will this potentially change the story of the game?

So, there going to allow the player to play as female characters, kinda weird they're just doing this, i always though they where trying to completely emerse the playing my give them a lot of options to our characters personality. you say it would't be just a port, but i doubt very much will actually change

As for the main story goes, I guess that it will be little to no change. I can only guess that they have to do some new Anime cut-scene and change some dialog if you pick the female progatonist. As for why there a dude in the place of Elizabeth in the velvet room, my guess is that his Elizabeth bothers.

But were I think there will be the biggest change will be in the Social Link or the dating sim part of Persona 3. Be a female, I guess that you will start dating guy in the school, like dating Akihito and finally get more back story for him. They other part that I want to know is how the female S.Link will work. I like, can I have a S.Link with Chihiro and how it will end. If you don't know, Chihiro is one of the first S.Link that you get in the game but the thing is that she has a fear of men. In the original game, she date the male protagonist and get over her fear of men, what I like to know how the S.Link will end if you go in with the female protagonist? Will she turn out being a lesbian.

Oh I want this game and waste another 80 hours playing P3 again.

Also I there something wrong with me, there just one pic out and I already what a 1/8 scale figure of the female protagonist.

But, but, but... I haven't gotten to play the normal P3, its on my to do list!

Now I find out there is a "better" version entirely in moonspeak? le sigh

Gah. It will only be good if they axe 90% of the level grinding. Holy crap. I've only got one month left in the game (I think), but I … just … can't … make myself play. ahhhhh.
