In the mad pre- Expo scramble, Otakon has thrown three press releases into my midst (yeesh!).
The first of the new guest announcements is Noboru Ishiguro , the director of the original Macross series, Legend of the Galactic Heroes , and the 2008 series Tytania-- as well as helping out Leiji Matsumoto on Space Battleship Yamato .
Next up is Hidenori Matsubara , character designer and animation director extraordinaire. You've seen his design work in everything from Ah! My Goddess and Sakura Taisen to Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo and Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 . He also worked as animation director for both Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0 -- he's been a busy guy!
And finally, Yukio Kikukawa-- producer of Legend of Galactic Heroes and the film Big Wars –rounds out the list of guests...for now, anyway.
