You can't explain One Piece! One Piece explain you!

One Piece haven't really disappoint me yet, I just enjoying the ride to the end

Near the end, Luffy will find the One Piece and become King Of Pirates. A giant war will break out

This how I know :)

One Piece probably will end like how it begin, Luffy The Pirate King will die and start another pirate age and past on his Will Of D.

CC's laugh

Luffy goal isn't really the One Piece (he don't really care about it), his goal is to be the Pirate King, the most free person in the world and return Shanks hat. One Piece is just a means to an end for Luffy

Oda probably does know how One Piece will end

Also Luffy is halfway their, he is in the New World

Also Luffy will forget about his goal if his friends is not with him. Luffy will sacrifice his life and his goals for his friends.

Oda already knows the ending of the series, Tom please look at this short article.

Besides that, if you want to know more about how the end of One Piece is going to be, just watch Nico Robin's flashback in the Enies Lobby Arc and the end of the Marineford Arc, however I recommend you to keep watching the series at your own pace and skip all the filler episodes.

I wonder if I sound this bonkers when I try to explain anime to my family...

Everyone knows where One Piece is located. It's on Raftel, the final island in the chain of the Grand Line. Only Gold Roger reached it, and that's where he left One Piece.

Luffy didn't flip out about the location. He didn't want to know what One Piece literally is. For Luffy, it's about he journey. Knowing the end of the story would ruin the adventure.

For ONE PIECE, you have to go through a completed arc to understand the appeal. The story does have a structure. It's actually some of the best long term story telling I've ever read. Oda will hint at things that wont get answered or revealed for years. Events in Volume 8 effected events in Volume 63.

You can't navigate the Grand Line like a normal sea. You have to use the Log Pose. Those direct you from island to island. Visiting each island on the chain will lead you to the next one. There are also various paths. It's why you can't skip to the last island. Tom missed some pretty cool action where he dropped in on in the Fish-Man Island Arc. Which is probably for the best, since Fish-Man Island was the longest of the series.

Almost every island on the chain to Raftel has been something crazy that makes no sense, but things always start to get explained. One of the fun things about the series is that each island is so different.

My theory for the finale. Luffy will find One Piece, he will become King of the Pirates, then he'll want to go back up Reverse Mountain and do it all over again on a different path through the Grand Line.

If you ever want to do a Vice Pit Undercover on ONE PIECE. I could answer all your questions about this series, at least as far as I know the answers.

The One Piece itself just seems to be the thing that once acquired gives you the title of Pirate King – A glorified trophy which could just very well be a picture of Gold Roger and his crew

Once Luffy attains it he would probably set himself another goal or attempt to just restart the whole One Piece process item leading onto the next great pirate era while he and his crew either separate to do their own thing like Star Trek TNG crew or sail off into the sunset

I got a feeling Oda would probably do a flash forward just before they even acquire One Piece and show us the next age of Pirates without even really showing us what One Piece was – as to drill home the point it was never actually about One Piece just the adventures and the crew. You would also probably get to see the straw hats in their older days and what became of them as well as the next obvious Luffy prototype….maybe the person he would even hand his straw hat down to (doubt shanks would take it back)

As a side note Tom – I commend you for watching / reviewing the series from both ends but honestly I can see how this juggernaut is wearing ya down.

It has been fun to read both write ups for OP but I think maybe its best you stop with the recent releases as the constant addition of plots and characters would even make me a lil dizzy if I didn’t follow the show from its beginnings. Catching up from the earlier episodes seems to be more enlightening and is probably showing you how this all came about so maybe that’s the best route….or I would understand if ya dropped both ends altogether which would suck but I guess you’ve done quite a bit.

Good video and always enjoy the OP discussions

btw if you ever wanna hear a rundown of just how insanely popular OP is in Japan listen to the first half of this podcast episode

Yea no any show that can't tell a complete story in say 100 episodes? Not interested...not what I watch anime for.

YotaruVegetaon May 22, 2013 at 11:40 a.m.

I think One Piece ends with 4Kids interrupting the last episode to beg forgiveness for that One Piece rap.

@zaldar: That's your personal preference, so I can't come down on that.

My only issue is if a story gets stale after a period of time. For me, a show like One Piece continues to be entertaining.
