Which is why Nodame Cantabile Parihen episode 9’s 6.6% average (and 7.4% at its peak) is a bigger deal than it may at first sound. In fact, it’s actually a record-breaking viewing for a late night anime—the previous top was Nana at 6.3%. The article goes on to suggest that Nodame may break its own record as the show creeps to its final episode, set to air on December 18.
As someone who’s quite fond of the goofy music-centric rom-com, with its mildly cheesy CG instrument-playing and phenomenal score, permit me to say omedetou (congratulations)!
