The Final Fantasy franchise encompasses a number of video games, manga, movies and anime from the Final Fantasy universe. The franchise was created by Squaresoft (now Square Enix). At the time, Square was on its last legs, and considered the first game their "Final Fantasy" of success.

I'm kind of pissed at myself for watching these trailers, cause now I'm pretty sure that, that Serah girl is going to die.
Everything points toward it.
Also I hope there's a japanese language track for the european version. I don't mind the english voices, it's just...these voices...so...awesome.
Has got more story and cutscenes that I want to see, knowing that depending on how it's reviewed I'm definitely buying it, so I don't need to see any more.
