Chalk another one up for vampires-- and for adult visual novels.
Fortune Arterial, a game developed by August, revolves around a guy who transfers to a prestigious English-style school (read: combined junior high / high school) on a remote island. Sounds well and good, until he learns that the popular and perky vice president of the student council, Erika Sendo, is a vampire. Before long he's tangled up in the affairs of both the school and Sendo's vampire clan...and now the game is
getting an anime adaptation.
It looks to be more of a cute rom-com than a soap opera-- or perhaps more effectively, "more Rosario + Vampire, less Vampire Knight" --which doesn't sound half-bad if the characters and story are interesting. Could be good times.
There's already a manga running in Comptiq, where the anime announcement was made (as well as via commercial for said magazine).
